Alberta Ballet honours the Treaties made throughout Turtle Island.

Alberta Ballet's work extends across Treaties 6, 7 and 8. These are territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (the Siksika, the Piikani and the Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, the Îethka Stoney Nakoda, the Nehiyaw, the Denesuliné, the Niitsitapi, the Anishinaabe and the Nakota Sioux. These territories are also home to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government. We are all Treaty people. We recognize the genocide and colonization endured by Indigenous peoples and are committed to working toward justice and equity through the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls To Action.
